    Description

    Volunteers will assist Education Program Coordinators with family classes and preK-5th grade classes that are visiting. These programs generally contain activity stations, games and/or tours used as tools to teach participants about plants and animals.

    Flexible schedules welcomed! Shifts and tasks will be arranged individually. Volunteers are needed during the weekdays, typically morning/early afternoon shifts. Two, three and four-hour shifts are variable and are based on class and program schedules. Volunteers in this position will:

    • provide support and supervision to children and families during activities;
    • provide program preparation assistance;
    • set up and/or clean up educational materials, art supplies, props and snacks; and
    • help escort program participants on zoo, conservatory and park grounds.
