    Description

    Prison Penpal Program

The Aleph Institute is seeking compassionate volunteers to join our Virtual Penpal Program. Aleph provides vital support to individuals in prison, their families, and communities across the country. Through advocacy, education, visitation programs, and personal connection, we work to strengthen families and restore dignity to those who feel forgotten.

As a Penpal Volunteer, you will correspond through letters with an incarcerated individual who is seeking positive, respectful connection from the outside world. Your letters offer encouragement, stability, and a reminder that someone cares. For many participants, this connection becomes a powerful source of hope.

This opportunity is fully remote and flexible. Volunteers can write from home and commit based on their availability. No prior experience is required. We provide guidance and structure to ensure safe and appropriate communication.

We are looking for volunteers who are reliable, respectful, and committed to maintaining healthy boundaries. If you believe in the power of human connection and want to make a meaningful impact, we would love to have you join us.
