    Mission

To drive research and advocate for treatment outcomes that improve quality of life for hypothalamic-pituitary brain tumor survivors.

    Vision

A life unburdened by the impact of disease for hypothalamic-pituitary brain tumor survivors.

RAWF is entering a period of significant growth, with expanding initiatives in research, advocacy, and global community engagement. As we scale our impact, we are seeking dedicated and mission-aligned individuals to join our Board of Directors.

    About the Board

The Board of Directors serves as the governing body of RAWF, providing strategic oversight, fiduciary responsibility, and partnership to leadership to ensure the organization fulfills its mission with integrity and impact.

Board members serve three-year terms and play a critical role in shaping strategy, advancing key initiatives, and strengthening the organization’s long-term sustainability.

We are currently seeking candidates with experience in areas such as:

    1. Fundraising and development
    2. Business strategy or entrepreneurship
    3. Healthcare, pharmacology, or research
    4. Advocacy or policy

We also welcome candidates with lived experience or other relevant expertise aligned with our mission.

    Board Responsibilities

    1. Provide strategic guidance and oversight aligned with RAWF’s mission and growth priorities
    2. Support and evaluate organizational leadership, including the Executive Director
    3. Ensure strong financial stewardship, including budget oversight and resource development
    4. Participate in strategic planning and monitor progress against organizational goals
    5. Serve as ambassadors for RAWF, increasing visibility and building relationships
    6. Contribute to a high-functioning, engaged, and accountable board

    Fundraising & Financial Commitment

As a growing nonprofit, fundraising is a core responsibility of the Board.

    Board members are expected to:

    1. Make an annual personal financial contribution at a level meaningful to them
    2. Actively support fundraising efforts through outreach, introductions, and participation in campaigns and events
    3. Help identify, cultivate, and steward donors and partners
    4. Advocate for the importance of investing in RAWF’s mission

    Meetings & Engagement

    1. Attend two Board meetings per year (one in-person, one virtual)
    2. Participate in quarterly committee meetings (virtual)
    3. Engage in board activities, communications, and initiatives between meetings

    Who Should Apply

Serving on the RAWF Board requires a meaningful commitment of time, energy, and engagement. We are looking for individuals who are:

    1. Passionate about improving outcomes for patients and families
    2. Willing to actively contribute beyond meetings
    3. Interested in helping scale a growing, high-impact organization

Candidates are encouraged to thoughtfully consider how they can contribute over a three-year term, including their ability to support fundraising and organizational growth.
