Food Bank - Produce Receiving

Produce receiving requires sorting through boxes of mixed product that has come in from various grocery stores. Items are inspected for quality and sorted by type into crates for later distribution. This volunteer will need to be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and be able to be on their feet and walking for 3-4 hours (depending on the day you serve). Because the food bank temperature can vary due to open doors, we recommend that the volunteer dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes.
