Volunteer Coordinator - Black Historic Cemetery Preservation

Cobb Bethel AME Church, founded in 1863, is the guardian of one of Atlanta’s oldest African American cemeteries-a sacred space rich with stories of strength, landownership, and heritage. We are forming a volunteer-led committee dedicated to preserving this historic site, and we’re seeking a Volunteer Recruitment Lead to grow and engage our volunteer base.

In this role, you will:

• Recruit and engage passionate volunteers
• Build and expand a grassroots preservation committee
• Organize volunteer days and community events
• Collaborate with local groups, schools, churches, and media outlets
• Keep volunteers informed, motivated, and inspired
