Volunteer Opportunity at Furvivors Horse Rescue & Farm Animal Sanctuary

Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals in need? Come volunteer at The Wonderland, home of Furvivors Horse Rescue. By donating your time, you’ll help care for horses and other farm animals who are on the path to healing from abuse, neglect, or abandonment.

Your time and dedication will provide these animals with the love, attention, and rehabilitation they need to move toward their next chapter in life.

    Why We Need Volunteers:

Many of our residents have been deprived of the essential human connection they deserve. That’s where volunteers come in-offering compassion, care, and consistent interaction to help these animals rediscover trust and joy.

No prior horse experience? No problem! All we ask is a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a commitment to understanding the responsibilities of animal care.

    How You Can Help:

Volunteers are essential in many areas:

    • Animal Care: Provide love, light grooming, fill water buckets, feed and help clean stalls.
    • Farm Maintenance: Stack hay, clean tack and equipment, mend fences, light landscaping and maintain a safe, clean, professional property. Tractor tasks available for those experienced in farm machinery.
    • Horse Activities: Walk, exercise, or assist with horse care (for volunteers with prior horse experience).
    • Event Assistance: Support and attend events as a Furvivors ambassador, or work virtually organizing and fundraising for such events. Additional community initiatives available. (See additional posts)
    • Behind the Scenes: Contribute to admin tasks, social media photography, writing thank-you notes, creating fliers, posters and more.

Above all, safe and engaging interaction with our animals is our top priority!

    What We Ask of You:

    • Commitment: A minimum of 2 hours per week in person after orientation and training.
    • Reliability: This is a hands-on role, and we rely on volunteers who are 100% dependable.
    • Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 18 years or older with reliable transportation

    Additional Details:

    • Flexible Shifts: Weekly 2-hour shifts are preferred, with flexibility to accommodate your schedule; morning or evening
    • In-Person Role: All horse care volunteering takes place on-site

Location: We are located just outside Oxford, PA, 2 miles off Route 1 along 472. Conveniently within:
