Veteran Volunteers

Are you a Veteran? Have you ever considered using your experiences to help fellow vets at end of life? Hospice of Central Pa is looking for Veteran volunteers to provide veteran support, companionship, and pinning ceremonies to our patients. Our veteran volunteers are trained in hospice care, veteran support, and veteran-related issues at end of life. Veteran volunteers visit with patients in their homes, nursing home facilities, and hospitals. Volunteers must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide emotional support. Common tasks include, but are not limited to; performing small pinning ceremonies, talking, reminiscing, providing knowledge of veteran support services, etc. Please reach out if interested!
