    Hospice Companionship Volunteer - Chesaning

    AMARA HOSPICE Michigan is seeking friendly and compassionate individuals to provide companionship and interaction wtih our patients. Our volunteers are indispensible key members of our hospice organization. They share their time, talents and interests by providing companionship and support to our patients.

    The role of a volunteer would be to spend quality time with our patinets engaging them in conversation and/or activities. Just a few examples of activities our volunteers and patients do togther: play cards/games, read books, do crafts, watch sports, listen to music, go for walks, paint fingernails, look through family photo album, complete a legacy book together. Volunteers do NOT attend to personal care of patients, so no skills in this area are needed.

    AMARA HOSPICE Michigan provides comprehensive training and orientation to support you in order to help you feel prepred in working with hospice patients. If you can give at least 5 hours a month, please join our team!!
