We request that our volunteers commit to at least 1 year; two patient visits a month.

Description
The Bereavement Volunteer provides emotional support to families and caregivers as they navigate their way through loss of a loved one.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide follow-up emotional support to the survivors of hospice patients through regular contact via phone, one-on-one in-person support, and/or facilitate support groups.
- Clerical support, when needed.
- Demonstrate ability to provide confidential, non-judgmental and compassionate care for all ages in a religiously and culturally diverse environment.
- Document all visits and communicate any concerns to hospice staff and Volunteer Coordinator.
- Ability to document and submit time spent with patient, in a timely manner.
