    Paddling/Tubing Volunteer

    Located in beautiful North Lake Tahoe, Achieve Tahoe is a non-profit organization that leads the way in adaptive sports and recreation for people with disabilities. Our mission is to provide affordable inclusive physical and recreational activities that build health and confidence. Founded in 1967, we are the oldest adaptive sports program in the world, led by a professional, dedicated and experienced staff.

    Paddling/Tubing Volunteer

    Position Overview and Impact: Volunteers provide specialized adaptive instruction for people with disabilities. Volunteers will work on a personal level to help students successfully paddle in a kayak or paddleboard and enjoy a fun day at the beach.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Provide a safe and fun learning environment for people with varying disabilities and abilities.
    2. Implement proper instructional practices to ensure success for the student.

    Qualifications: Must be comfortable working with people with disabilities. Must be physically fit and able to lift a student out of the water. Volunteers must be committed to working outdoors in varying weather conditions in a mountain environment. Volunteers must be capable of travel to multiple locations in the North Lake Tahoe area.

    Training Provided: 1 day of training is required for all volunteers.

    Commitment: Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum of 5 days a season. The Sierra Summer Sports season runs from June through August.
