Description
Pet Therapy & companionship volunteers are needed to visit with and enrich the quality of life for patients with a life-shortening diagnosis who are receiving hospice care. This program allows volunteers to be matched one on one with a hospice patient. The volunteer would simply offer companionship/friendship through regular visits with their certified pet. The volunteer can also set their own schedule that is convenient for both parties. Typically, a volunteer would make a companionship visit 2-4 times monthly for approx. 30 minutes to a couple of hours. This is a wonderful way to share your "best friend" and truly make a difference for others in an extremely meaningful and rewarding way.
