Volunteer SAT Math Tutor (Text-Based Responder)

Join SAT Math Texting as a volunteer tutor and help students across the country improve their SAT Math skills through a simple, accessible texting platform. Students text +1 (929)-725-8626 with SAT math questions, and volunteers provide clear, step-by-step explanations to help them understand the concepts and solve similar problems independently.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to SAT Math questions submitted via text (All answered will be provided to you)
• Provide accurate, step-by-step explanations (not just final answers)
• Explain strategies, shortcuts, and common mistakes
• Ensure responses are clear, supportive, and easy to understand (Will give example explanations for reference)

Qualifications:

• High school student
• Solid understanding of SAT Math topics (algebra, geometry, word problems, graphs)
• Ability to clearly explain concepts in a structured, step-by-step way
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Time Commitment:

• Flexible and remote
• Volunteers can choose when to respond to questions
• Consistent participation is encouraged

Volunteer Credit:

• Earn 1 hour of service credit for every 2 questions answered with full explanations
