    Description

Looking for a virtual volunteer opportunity that makes a real difference in your community?

Our team of over 330 IRS-certified volunteers helps thousands of low-income, working families access important tax credits and overcome the stress and barriers to filing their taxes each year—and you can too!

By volunteering as a tax preparer with our virtual tax site, you can help overcome the stress and barriers lower-income families and individuals face in filing their taxes without even having to leave home.

As a virtual volunteer, you have a high level of flexibility in when and where you volunteer, making this a great opportunity for working individuals, students, or anyone with a busy schedule.

Not a tax expert? No problem! No experience is needed to get involved. MFS CASH Oregon provides free virtual training and ongoing support.

To be a great virtual volunteer, you just need to be:

    • Compassionate and friendly
    • Comfortable working with a diverse group of clients
    • Tech savvy
    • Willing to ask questions
    • Willing to learn new skills and computer software

While virtual volunteer schedules are flexible, we do ask you to commit to setting aside at least 4 hours total each week to volunteer during tax season (late January through mid-April).
