1-4 hours per week with one patient. Volunteers must commit to being an available volunteer for at least one year.

Description
Veteran hospice patients are greatly comforted through companionship, validation and encouragement from Veteran hospice volunteers. If you are a Veteran of the Armed Forces and feel resourced to accompany our Veteran patients at the end of life, consider becoming a hospice volunteer.
Franciscan Hospice Volunteers provide compassionate presence for our patients, all of whom are within 6 months of dying.
Sitting at the bedside, providing respite for caregivers, walking dogs, reading aloud or delivering audio books, singing songs, playing music, and capturing a patient's life story are ways Hospice volunteers enrich the lives of our patients.
We are seeking Veteran volunteers throughout Pierce County.
