    About AfriGenetry Link

    AfriGenetry Link is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reconnecting Africa and its global diaspora through DNA, ancestry, health, and education. We work to help individuals discover their roots, restore identity, preserve African heritage, and strengthen African representation in global ancestry databases.

    About the Role

    We are building our Heritage & Identity (HAI) Council and are seeking passionate volunteers to help individuals reconnect with their ancestral heritage.

    We welcome applications from:

    • Genealogists
    • Historians
    • Cultural Heritage Specialists
    • Anthropologists
    • Researchers
    • Museum or Archive Professionals
    • Anyone with significant experience in African ancestry, genealogy, heritage preservation, or cultural history

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with family history and ancestral research.
    • Interpret historical and cultural context related to DNA ancestry results.
    • Support heritage restoration and identity initiatives.
    • Contribute to educational resources and storytelling projects.
    • Help preserve African history, traditions, languages, and cultural knowledge.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary international team.

    We're Looking For People Who

    • Are passionate about genealogy, ancestry, and African history.
    • Believe in reconnecting families and restoring cultural identity.
    • Have strong research and documentation skills.
    • Enjoy collaborating with diverse teams.
    • Are committed to ethical, culturally respectful work.

    Experience with African genealogy, diaspora history, archives, oral history, or DNA interpretation is a plus but not required.
