    Description

MISSION: Education Over Debt Foundation’s mission is to provide scholarships to students from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds in North Carolina attending a two-year or four-year College or University. The Foundation delivers value to the community by emphasizing training on personal development, financial literacy, and wellness, while mentoring students during their college journey.

OVERVIEW: The Advisory Board shall provide the Board of Directors with input from the communities they represent. They may make recommendations that are attributed to the nonprofit. They shall serve a minimum of a six-month term, before eligibility to serve as a Board of Director and do not have voting rights. Advisory Board members should be in attendance for all meetings and if unable to attend, notify the Executive Director or Board Chair to inform her of their absence. The Board plans to meet at least once per month, (2nd Monday's at 7:00 p.m. EST) during the Scholarship season and on a case by case basis afterwards. The Board is governed by the laws of North Carolina.

Our primary focus currently is Fundraising, School Counselors, and/or Community Advocates who have relationships with a Charlotte Mecklenburg School.
