Book Club Host - Shirley Meadows House (Recurring)

Program Summary: 2Life is searching for a book lover to host a book club for our Shirley Meadows residents! After choosing a book to read for the month, the volunteer would come onsite once a month to host a 1-hour discussion about the book. The volunteer should prepare discussion questions to fill the hour.

Location: Shirley Meadows House - 27 Hospital Rd, Devens, MA 01434

Key responsibilities:

• Help residents choose a book to read each month
• Commit to a monthly schedule
• Prepare discussion questions for the event
• Socialize with residents who attend

Impact Goal: A book club would provide residents an opportunity to socialize, encourage lifelong learning, and promote shared interests.

Qualifications:

• Must enjoy reading and be willing to read the chosen book each month
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to lead a discussion
