    Description

    Are you passionate about helping individuals reintegrate into society after incarceration and supporting their mental well-being? We're looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team as Certified License Counseling and Therapy Volunteers for Returning Citizens. As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to provide valuable guidance and support to individuals who are transitioning back into the community.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct virtual counseling sessions with returning citizens who may be facing various challenges related to their reentry.
    • Offer empathetic and non-judgmental listening to help clients express their feelings and concerns.
    • Provide evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist clients in managing the emotional and psychological aspects of reintegration.
    • Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the best possible care for each client.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of each counseling session.

    Requirements:

    • Possession of a valid counseling or therapy license/certification. In Georgia/Florida
    • Strong active listening and communication skills.
    • Empathy, compassion, and the ability to build rapport with individuals who have experienced incarceration.
    • Access to a secure and quiet environment for virtual counseling sessions.
    • Commitment to a certain number of volunteer hours per week/month.
