    Description

    Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities/Tasks

    Responsible for volunteer hiring, recruitment and training. They will also ensure that there is optimal coverage for events, projects/campaigns while maximizing resource efficiency.

    Some other important duties may include utilizing scheduling software, maintaining volunteer records (while maintaining confidentiality of all information from any volunteers).

    Volunteer Coordinator Candidate - Skill, Education and Experience:

    • Note: You can become a volunteer coordinator if you have already achieved ONE of the following 3 choices below:

    Choice 1: Education

    Education: A bachelor’s degree in psychology, human resources, non-profit management, or social work

    Other Education Options:

    • If you are currently enrolled in psychology, human resources, non-profit management, or social work courses or certification programs - That is acceptable for the Education Requirement
    • If you have already completed and passed any psychology, human resources, non-profit management, or social work courses in the past - That is acceptable for the Education Requirement

    Choice 2: Previous Volunteer or Work Experience

    Experience: Previous experience in volunteering, customer service, or retail/hospitality is often sufficient for entry-level, alongside demonstrated leadership in organizing people.

    Choice 3: Skills

    Skills: Strong communication (written and verbal), high organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office/databases, and the ability to work independently are essential.

    Age Requirement: Applicants must be 21 years old and older
