Commitment Details:
Desired commitment of 4 hours per week, for a minimum of 6 months a year. PWC’s outreach schedule is busiest between April-November, annually, with a significant lull from December-March. A flexible schedule is ideal for this role.

Description
Outreach Volunteers assist the Outreach Specialist at community events, providing information on PWC’s services, application process, and volunteer and supporter opportunities. Outreach Volunteers may also assist in connecting with companies and agencies to seek out more opportunities to promote PWC’s services and volunteer program.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Capability to work remotely
- Ability to interact and work closely with people from diverse backgrounds looking for resources and assistance
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Knowledge of local community resources
- Uphold PWC’s values in all community interactions
Tasks
- Attend outreach meetings and events
- Learn and understand PWC’s programming, including home repairs, modifications, healthy homes, and weatherization.
- Document engagement at events.
- Assist Outreach Specialist with tracking events attended.
- Gathering client information at events – passing along information to the Client Services team for follow-up.
