Party Planner for Children's Birthdays

HOPEmatch has an opening for one of our SUPER volunteer roles: Birthday Party Planner for children who would otherwise go uncelebrated.

Party Planners are part of our Project:Celebrate team that votes each month for the party we will plan the following month. Each Party Planner takes 4 months a year to be the point person to plan the party with the help of the child's parent.

The party is tailored to each child, so no celebration is exactly the same. It includes a combination of family activity, custom cake/dessert, a few small gifts and decorations. We work within a budget, prioritizing what means the most to that family.

Commitment: We do ask for at least a one year commitment for this role and our year goes from March-February. Volunteer would use their own vehicle to deliver the items and there is a timeline we stick to on the months that the volunteer is the lead, so timeliness and communication are essential.

This is a remote volunteer opportunity, done from home, around your schedule, within our timeline. Volunteer does need to live in the Charlotte, NC area.
