    Description

    There are two ways someone can volunteer with hospice, being an administrative volunteer or a direct patient care volunteer. Administrative helps in the hospice office with clerical tasks such as Answering phones, filing, data entry, and organizing supplies at the hospice office. They can also work on special projects such as Making blankets, cards, or items for patients. they can help withcommunity outreach such as helping at health fairs, fundraising events, or community displays.

    The second way someone can volunteer with hospice is direct patient care which usually comprises of Visiting patients in homes, nursing homes, or assisted living to read, play music, watch TV, or share stories. Sitting with patients to allow family members to run errands.
