    Organization Overview

    Sail Beyond Cancer USA is a national nonprofit dedicated to honoring individuals and families facing cancer through free, private sailing experiences.

    Our mission is simple but powerful:

    to share the healing powers of wind, water, and sail with those who need it most.

    We are currently seeking a creative and compassionate volunteer to help us grow our social media presence and share the powerful stories that emerge from our mission sails.

    Every sail we offer creates meaningful moments of peace, connection, and joy for families navigating cancer. Your work will help us inspire others, reach more nominees, and attract the donors and volunteers who make these experiences possible.

    Position Overview

    Sail Beyond Cancer is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support day-to-day operational and administrative functions. This role helps maintain organized records, supports communication workflows, and assists with managing documents and digital systems used across the organization.

    The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working with online tools and databases in a collaborative nonprofit environment.

    Key Responsibilities

      • Update and maintain records in Salesforce
      • Create and maintain emails, templates, and documents using Word and Excel
      • Assist with managing files and documentation in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar)
      • Support administrative processes including data entry, document organization, and communication coordination
      • Help maintain consistency in organizational templates and records
      • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed

    Qualifications

      • Strong organizational and administrative skills
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to learn new systems quickly and work independently
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
      • Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)

    Preferred (Not Required)

    Experience with one or more of the following platforms:

      • Salesforce
      • SmartWaiver
      • Mailchimp
      • SignUpGenius

    Ideal Candidate

      • Detail-oriented and reliable
      • Comfortable working with digital systems and data
      • A fast learner who can adapt to new tools and processes
      • Interested in supporting the mission of a growing nonprofit organization
