Description
A Hospice Companionship Volunteer offers comfort, joy, and meaningful connection to patients by spending time with them in simple, heartfelt ways. Volunteers may listen to music together, play or share favorite songs, enjoy quiet time outdoors when possible, play cards, do crafts, listen to stories from the patient’s life, or simply provide a calming presence. Each visit helps reduce loneliness, brighten someone’s day, and bring dignity and companionship during a tender stage of life. This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, patient, and enjoys building genuine human connection. With full training and flexible scheduling, companionship volunteers make a profound difference just by showing up with kindness.
