Hospice Companion Volunteer - Altoona, WI

Many hospice patients need and want someone to spend time with, and we are looking for compassionate, dedicated volunteers to give them that most basic of needs - human connection.

Lily Hospice volunteers provide comfort and support through companionship and bringing meaning to the moment. As a volunteer, you might spend time talking, sharing stories and memories, listening to music or watching a movie, playing games, assisting with an activity or other non-medical tasks. There are also times to simply sit quietly with a patient to let them know they are not alone. We take our mission seriously, but we also have fun while partnering with our patients on their journey.

At Lily Hospice, we care for our patients in the comfort of their home. For some, home might be a private residence, while others might reside in an assisted living or nursing home/health center. Visitors are needed within Altoona as well as the extended Chippewa Valley area. We do take into account your location to assign visits that are within or near your own community.
