Hal & Berni Hanson: MLK Day of Service 2026

Join us for the annual MLK Day of Service at Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park.

📍 Location: Throughout Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park

🙌 Volunteer Roles Needed:

• Natural Resource Management: Remove invasive plant species throughout the park.
• Garden Preparation: Prepare the Demonstration Garden for Spring 2026 by adding compost to the soil.
• Disc Golf Maintenance: Control erosion, pick up trash, and clear debris from the course.
• Trail Maintenance: Line the trails with logs and ensure all paths are clear and accessible.
• Trash Pick Up: Remove litter throughout the park.

👨‍👩‍👧 Volunteer Age Guidelines:

• Ages 12 and under may volunteer with a guardian
• Ages 13 and up may volunteer independently

👕 What to Wear

Family fair appropriate clothing. Dress for the weather, this is an outside event.

What to Bring:

Volunteers are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, hats, and personal items as needed.

Groups:

We love when groups get involved! Please make sure that everyone in your group joins separately to volunteer.
