    NAMI Family-to-Family Teacher

    What is NAMI Family-to-Family?

    A free 8-session educational program for family, significant others and friends of people living with mental illness. It is a designated evidenced-based program. NAMI-trained family members who have been there lead the course with presentations, discussion and interactive exercises. The group setting allows you to connect with others and build a community of support.

    Who can teach Family-to-Family classes?

    Family members and loved ones of individuals with mental health conditions. As someone who supports someone with a mental health condition, you are an expert in what its like! The training will provide you with the skills and resources to teach this class in your community.

    What are the requirements to become a NAMI Program Leader?

    • You must be someone who is dedicated to helping reduce stigma and providing support and education.
    • You must commit to leading a Family to Family class withing 3 months of being trained
    • You must be a NAMI member
    • You must be active in your local NAMI
    • During the application process, you will be asked to provide the email of an Affiliate Leader at your local NAMI who can endorse you
