Volunteers are the HEART of Heartland Hospice! Do you know how to play an instrument and/or enjoy singing? We are looking for more special individuals who live in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee or Washington County, or a surrounding area, to join our growing team of superstar volunteers!
Musician volunteers enrich the lives of hospice patients by sharing their talents during regular visits. In addition to providing music, volunteers provide much-needed socialization and one-on-one support. Service hours are extremely flexible and scheduled according to your availability and location. Musician volunteers have the power to bring the greatest gifts to our patients' lives... uplifting music, a smile and reassurance that comes with knowing they are genuinely cared for!
If you have a little extra time to give to share your love of melody, and have a big heart, call or email Heartland Volunteer Coordinator Paul today to learn more about this unique "songs from the heart" volunteer opportunity!
Interested applicants: must be 18 years or older; agree to a background/reference check; complete two TB tests; and attend an orientation to learn more about the philosophy of hospice and our company, the role of the volunteer and communicating with hospice patients and their families. Volunteer hours are flexible and opportunities are scheduled according to personality/needs of patient and volunteer, location and availability. Travel is required for this volunteer opportunity, so volunteers must have some form of reliable transportation.
