Description
Bristol Hospice Austin is seeking compassionate Music Volunteers to share their musical talents with our patients and families. Whether you sing, play an instrument, or simply love bringing joy through song, your gift can provide comfort, connection, and peace during life's most meaningful moments.
What You'll Do:
- Visit hospice patients in their homes or care facilities to offer live music
- Provide relaxation, reminiscence, and emotional support through music
- Work closely with the Regional Volunteer Coordinator and hospice team to create meaningful experiences
Who We're Looking For:
- Musicians, singers, or students with a heart for service
- Individuals comfortable engaging with patients and families in a calm, caring way
- Volunteers able to give 1-2 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must complete background check, TB tests, online training, and orientation requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have reliable transportation
No medical experience required - Just a kind spirit and a love for music! All volunteers receive comprehensive hospice training and ongoing support.
