Director of Operations (Organizational Strategy, Execution & Infrastructure) - Volunteer Leadership Role

Director of Operations (Organizational Strategy, Execution & Infrastructure)

    The Donovan’s Venom

Remote | Executive Leadership | Volunteer Role

We’re Building — And It Needs to Scale

    The Donovan’s Venom is growing.

    Programs.

    Platforms.

    People.

But growth without structure creates friction.

We are seeking a Director of Operations to design, lead, and scale how the organization operates across all functions.

Because execution doesn’t scale on its own.

It scales through intentional systems and leadership.

    The Role

This role is responsible for owning the operational structure, execution, and performance of the organization.

You will build systems, align teams, and ensure strategy translates into consistent, measurable execution.

You are not just overseeing operations.

You are building the engine that powers the organization.

This role operates across programs, HR, technology, and leadership, ensuring all parts of the organization are aligned and moving forward.

    What You’ll Own

    Operational Strategy & Structure

      • Define and implement the organization’s operational strategy
      • Build scalable systems to support growth
      • Align operations with organizational goals

    Cross-Functional Execution

      • Oversee execution across:
      • Programs
      • HR
      • Technology
      • Operations
      • Ensure alignment and accountability across teams

    Workflow & Process Design

      • Build and standardize operational workflows
      • Ensure processes are:
      • Clear
      • Efficient
      • Scalable
      • Eliminate inefficiencies and gaps

    Performance & Accountability

      • Establish metrics and tracking systems
      • Monitor progress across teams and initiatives
      • Drive accountability and execution

    Organizational Alignment

      • Ensure leadership priorities are translated into action
      • Align teams around shared goals and timelines
      • Maintain clarity across functions

    Operational Problem-Solving

      • Identify operational challenges and risks
      • Implement solutions to improve efficiency
      • Strengthen overall performance

    Team Leadership & Development

      • Lead and support operations-related roles
      • Define expectations and workflows
      • Build a culture of accountability and execution

    Communication & Coordination

      • Facilitate structured communication across teams
      • Ensure alignment between leadership and execution
      • Support decision-making with operational insight

    Infrastructure & Systems Development

      • Build systems for:
      • Task tracking
      • Workflow management
      • Organizational visibility
      • Ensure the organization can scale effectively

    Continuous Improvement

      • Identify opportunities to improve operations
      • Strengthen systems as the organization grows
      • Drive long-term operational excellence

    Who This Is For

This role is for someone who:

      • Thinks in systems, structure, and scale
      • Has experience leading operations or managing complex environments
      • Can translate strategy into execution
      • Is highly organized, analytical, and proactive
      • Thrives in a leadership, cross-functional environment

    Commitment

      • 15–25+ hours per week
      • Executive-level engagement
      • Participation in leadership meetings required
      • Fully remote
