    Description

Conserve Life Foundation is seeking passionate and motivated volunteers to support education and community development initiatives in Tanzania through its Teaching Support & Community Engagement Volunteer Program. This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in contributing to meaningful social impact while gaining practical experience in community work, youth engagement, and educational support.

Volunteers will work alongside local teachers, students, and community members to help improve learning experiences and support extracurricular and community based activities. Responsibilities may include assisting with classroom activities, supporting English practice and reading sessions, helping organize youth mentorship and life skills activities, participating in environmental awareness and school gardening programs, supporting sports and creative activities, and assisting with community outreach events. Volunteers with photography, media, or communication skills may also help document activities through photos, videos, and social media storytelling.

The program welcomes individuals with a positive attitude, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a genuine interest in education and community development. Previous experience in teaching, mentoring, youth programs, environmental activities, or nonprofit work is an advantage but not required. Volunteers should be respectful of cultural diversity, flexible, responsible, and willing to learn and collaborate with local communities.

Through this experience, volunteers will gain practical exposure to community development work, cultural exchange, leadership, teamwork, and grassroots engagement in Tanzania. Participants may receive a certificate or recommendation letter upon successful completion of the program.

Volunteer placements are flexible and available for both short-term and long-term participation depending on availability and project needs.

Activities are conducted in Moshi Rural and Hai Districts in the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania, offering volunteers an opportunity to engage directly with local communities while experiencing the cultural and natural environment of northern Tanzania.

Volunteers may also have opportunities during weekends or free time to experience local culture and explore nearby attractions in northern Tanzania. Optional activities may include village visits, cultural experiences, local markets, waterfalls, hiking, coffee tours, and visits to natural attractions around the Kilimanjaro region.

These experiences help promote cultural exchange and allow volunteers to better understand local communities and traditions during their stay.
