    Description

    Job Title: Department Director App Development

    Location: Remote

    Department: App Development

    Reports To: Executive Director

    Type: Internship (Part-Time) (Unpaid)

    Duration: 6 Months

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee overall operations and progress of the SELENA App project.
    • Manage project updates in Striven, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
    • Lead weekly team meetings to review progress, challenges, and next steps.
    • Assign and track tasks and deadlines to ensure accountability and timely delivery.
    • Conduct monthly one-to-one meetings with team members for feedback and support.
    • Ensure alignment with SELENA App curriculum, goals, and development objectives.
    • Coordinate with HR for recruitment and onboarding when required.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project success.
    • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to team members.
    • Communicate regularly with leadership on progress, risks, and milestones.
    • Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    Requirements

    • Strong experience in project management and leadership in IT/app development.
    • Proven ability to manage teams and deliver projects effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in tools like Striven or similar project management systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Understanding of software/app development lifecycle.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
    • Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented mindset.
    • Minimum commitment of 7–10 hours per week.
