    Description

    📍 Location: Remote

    🕒 Commitment: 10 hours per week

    Are you passionate about supporting single dads and helping families thrive? Join Single Dads United as an Intake Specialist and become the first welcoming voice fathers hear when they enter our community.

    ⭐ Key Responsibilities

    Conduct Outreach & Monthly Check Ins

    • Call and connect with SDU fathers for initial intake conversations
    • Conduct monthly follow-up calls to track progress and identify new needs
    • Maintain a supportive, judgment free approach during all interactions

    Maintain & Update Father Files

    • Enter and update father information in SDU’s internal system
    • Document monthly check ins, goals, referrals, and progress
    • Ensure all records remain accurate, confidential, and up to date

    Create Customized Resource Packets

    Build individualized resource packets based on each father’s needs (housing, employment, legal, childcare, mental health, etc.)

    • Update packets monthly as needs change
    • Coordinate with SDU leadership to ensure resources remain current and relevant

    Locate & Verify Community Resources

    • Research local and citywide resources that support fathers and families
    • Maintain a working list of housing programs, job training opportunities, legal services, mental health providers, and emergency supports
    • Share verified resources with fathers in a clear and accessible way

    Support Program Coordination

    • Collaborate with SDU staff to connect fathers to events, workshops, and support programs
    • Flag urgent needs or high priority cases to the Executive Director
    • Help ensure a smooth, consistent experience for every father in the SDU community

    Who You Are

    ✅ Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting single fathers

    ✅ Comfortable making phone calls and engaging in supportive conversations

    ✅ Organized, detail‑oriented, and reliable with follow‑through

    ✅ Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

    ✅ Experience in social services or community work is a plus (not required)

    ✅ Available for a flexible monthly commitment
