    Join Christy’s Foundation Food Relief Program and help make a difference in our community.

    Why: Volunteers with Christy’s Foundation Food Relief Program directly help provide nutritious food and essential resources to families facing food insecurity, ensuring no one in our community goes without. By giving their time, volunteers play a critical role in fighting hunger, supporting families, and strengthening the well-being of the San Fernando Valley.

    Who: At Christys Foundation, our mission is to alleviate food insecurity and support families in need within our community. We understand that many individuals and families face challenges in accessing nutritious meals on a regular basis, and our food relief program aims to provide essential support during these difficult times.

    • What to Expect: Assist with weekly food distribution by helping set up, organize, and distribute groceries to families in need.
    • Responsibilities include helping us to unload groceires, passing out groceries to families, sorting and packing food, greeting and assisting community members, managing lines to ensure a smooth flow, and supporting cleanup after the event.
    • Volunteers help create a welcoming, respectful environment while ensuring efficient and fair distribution.
    • What's Required: Volunteers should be available for at least one shift (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) on Thursdays.
    • No prior experience is required, but a positive attitude and willingness to help are essential.
    • Volunteers should be able to stand for extended periods and may assist with lifting light to moderate items.
    • Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are required.
    • All volunteers must follow safety guidelines and instructions from team leaders to ensure a smooth and safe distribution for everyone.
