    Description

Use your SUPER POWERS to Fight Alzheimer's Disease!

Unleash your Superpowers and join the fight against Alzheimer's Disease! Volunteers are the Superheros we need. Your time, talent and passion can help make a tremendous impact.

Do What You Love to End ALZ is an Alzheimer's Association fundraising program that has supporters register and create an event of their choice -on the day of their choice- with the people of their choice! These supporters raise critical research funds and awareness for our mission - a World Free from Alzheimer's Disease.

As a volunteer, you will team up with a staff partner and other members of the committee to help recruit, manage and engage these supporters. The Volunteer committee is starting in JANUARY and we want to kick into high gear for the upcoming season! We have 2 committees - there's a role for all Super Hero Volunteers!!

    All Committee Members will-

    • Serve as a volunteer leader for the Alzheimer's Association
    • Register for Do What You Love to End ALZ so you can share your knowledge and help others!
    • Help recruit others for the committee - like your friends, coworkers or family members!
    • Attend monthly committee meetings (virtual option).
    • Commit to a minimum 4 hours monthly (just 1 hour a week minimum!) to move us forward. Community Service Hours are available as needed!

Committee members chose one of the following 2 Committee teams:

    Community Outreach Team Members will:

    • Brainstorm and implement community awareness activation about the program and our mission.
    • Recruit businesses from the community and individuals thru outreach to activity groups, clubs, and organizations.
    • Make personal contact with potential and past participants to encourage early registration.
    • Deliver promotional materials to local businesses and community hubs near you.
    • Represent the Alzheimer's Association at participants' fundraising events.

    Participant Engagement Team Members will:-

    • Call, email or write to new participants to welcome and thank them for joining the fight.
    • Guide participants thru event planning to maximize their event to reach their fundraising goals.
    • Recognize and applaud participants when they hit fundraising or personal milestones.
    • Represent the Alzheimer's Association's at participant fundraising events.
    • Plan the end-of-season celebration party (held in August).
