    Description

When: We are open one Tuesday afternoon a month from 4-6pm to serve the onsite daycare community.

Time Commitment: Volunteers should arrive early, no later than 3:45 to restock shelves, put out signs, etc.

Two roles are available: client check in and food handler. Check in is done on the computer to verify eligibility. Food handlers interact with clients and assist them receiving food, diapers and hygiene products. As needed, volunteers will sort and check dates on donations and restock shelves. Food handlers typically stand for the three hours and lift 25lbs.

Training is provided until you feel comfortable working on your own. Volunteers will fill out an application and sign a confidentiality form. The Community Food Bank requires annual civil rights training and food safety training every three years. These are free and take about an hour each.
