Harriman Summer Camp, S-11, Inc. is seeking committed, strategic, and community-minded leaders to serve on our Board of Directors.

Harriman is a nonprofit youth development organization focused on helping children and youth Thrive, Grow, and Build. Our programming supports young people through academic enrichment, social-emotional development, financial literacy, leadership, sports, the arts, and family engagement.

As Harriman enters its next phase of organizational growth, we are seeking Board members who want to do more than attend meetings. We are looking for leaders who can bring experience, relationships, strategic thinking, and new opportunities to an organization committed to expanding opportunities for young people.

How You Can Contribute

We welcome individuals with professional or community experience in:

Fundraising & Development | Corporate Partnerships | Finance | Education | Youth Development | Government & Public Policy | Nonprofit Leadership | Law | Marketing & Communications | Mental Health | Business | Human Resources | Technology | Community Leadership

We are particularly interested in individuals who can help Harriman:

• Develop new funding and fundraising opportunities
• Build corporate and strategic partnerships
• Expand relationships throughout New York City
• Strengthen organizational growth and sustainability
• Provide financial and strategic oversight
• Bring new expertise and perspectives to Board leadership

What Board Service Involves

Board members provide strategic governance and guidance, participate actively in Board meetings and organizational decision-making, provide fiduciary oversight, serve as ambassadors for Harriman, assist with partnerships and funding opportunities, and help build a strong and effective Board.

Board members also partner with the CEO while maintaining a clear distinction between governance and day-to-day management.
