    Description

Greater Boston area Pet Therapy Teams for Hospice Visits!

Bring joy to with your pet therapy-trained dog by making visits to Good Shepherd hospice patients AND/OR our patients who are in our pediatric palliative care program. Visits occur where the patients reside - in the greater Boston area.

Friendly pet therapy visits are tremendously appreciated by our patients and their families. Join us and help improve our patients' quality of life.

For Dogs: You and your dog must have received Canine Good Citizen, or equivalent certification, or beyond.

Do you have a non-dog pet that you have been certified with to make visits? (cats, bunnies, birds, etc.) we are also very interested in discussing our volunteer possibilities with you!

Our award-winning hospice offers comprehensive volunteer training and ongoing support. Volunteers & their pets are a valued part of our organization.

Contact us to learn about our upcoming training, starting in January 2026! Or, if that timing doesn't work for you, we can arrange training for a different time when you contact us.

Our patients reside across the greater Boston area and we have pet therapy visiting opportunities in a wide area. For information, please contact Icy Bradley, at ibradley@gscommunitycare.org. Check our website for our volunteer application at GSCommunityCare.org/volunteer.

Thank you! We look forward to hearing from you!
