    LLN Board members will serve a two-year term to be eligible for re-appointment for two additional terms. Quarterly board meeting attendance and members are expected to attend all LLN events.

    Description

    Administrative Assistant - Board Member

    The Administrative Assistant must be located in Massachusetts and works with President to provide overall administrative and project support, and acts as a liaison to the Board. Professionalism, the ability to cultivate relationships, and flexibility to adapt to the changing needs and priorities of a growing organization are essential.

    Though opportunity is mostly virtual, but must be local to Massachusetts.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate monthly board meetings, including invitations, reminders, and agendas.
    • Coordinate quarterly in-person meetings, including space reservation and catering.
    • Provide meeting minutes to all board members in a timely fashion.
    • Maintain the LLN event and meetings calendar.
    • Coordinate physical mail campaigns.
    • Track board members and advisory council’s demographic information for grant writing purposes.
    • Complete annual state reporting.
    • Complete other assigned administrative tasks as needed.

    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to learn and anticipate the needs of the organization.
    • Ability to communicate with others and cultivate relationships on behalf of the President and Board.
    • Ability to be self-directed, take ownership, and see projects to completion in a timely manner.
    • Strong project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
    • Proficient with Google Docs, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, and Adobe.
