    Burien: Volunteer Driver Needed for Grocery Trip to Uwajimaya Store.

    Are you a kind-hearted individual with a little time to spare? A lovely senior woman in the Burien area is looking for a friendly volunteer to drive her to Uwajimaya Asian Grocery Store for her occasional shopping trips. This is a wonderful, flexible opportunity to make a meaningful connection and brighten someone’s day with a simple act of kindness.

    Volunteer Services is a program of Catholic Community Services that assists low-income older adults and adults living with disabilities. Volunteers can assist with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and personal errands. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue to live independently in their homes.

    Due to the vulnerable population we serve, volunteers must complete an application form, pass a Washington State Patrol check, and attend an orientation.
