LHG Vision Ambassador

Dear Volunteers,

Become a Volunteer Outreach Ambassador with Lighthouse Guild!

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you believe in empowering individuals with vision loss and helping them live independent, fulfilling lives?

Lighthouse Guild is looking for dedicated volunteers to join our Volunteer Ambassador Program. As an Outreach Ambassador, you'll play a vital role in promoting our mission and expanding our reach throughout New York City. By representing the Lighthouse Guild in your community, you'll help increase awareness of our services, foster meaningful connections, and bring cultural insight to our outreach efforts.

As a Volunteer Ambassador, you will:

• Help spread the word about Lighthouse Guild's programs and services
• Represent us at community events, health fairs, and local meetings
• Build partnerships with local organizations and leaders
• Support initiatives that promote inclusion, access, and support for people with vision loss

Interested volunteers will be required to participate in a preliminary meeting and a mandatory training before starting Vision Ambassador volunteer duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in social work, marketing, or sales is helpful, but not required
• Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in connecting with others
• Comfortable initiating conversations and communicating with individuals and groups
