Volunteer responsibilities may include assisting with event setup and cleanup, welcoming and directing guests, supporting registration, helping at activity or resource areas, assisting with crowd flow, distributing materials, and general support

Other Requirements:

Arrive on time and remain for their scheduled volunteer shift. Check in with CRS-IL staff upon arrival. Follow all instructions and assigned responsibilities provided by event staff.

CRS-IL 8th Annual Disability Pride Parade & Festival

Hello Community,

I hope you are doing well!

On behalf of California Resource Services for Independent Living (CRS-IL), we are excited to warmly invite you, your family, friends, students, colleagues, and community members to join us for our 8th Annual Disability Pride Parade & Festival!

📅 Saturday, October 24 | 3:00 PM–8:00 PM

📍 East LA Civic Center | 4801 E. 3rd St., Los Angeles, CA 90022

This special event is a celebration of disability pride, inclusion, independence, empowerment, and community. We would love for everyone to come together for an evening of celebration, connection, resources, entertainment, and community spirit.

We are also currently looking for volunteers to help make this event a success. CRS-IL is happy to verify and sign off on volunteer or community service hours as needed.

Our event and volunteer flyers are attached. Those interested in volunteering can scan the QR code on the volunteer flyer to sign up.

Volunteering is not required to participate—we also warmly welcome you to simply come out, enjoy the event, and celebrate with us!

Please feel free to share the attached flyers with your family, friends, students, coworkers, organizations, community groups, and anyone who may be interested.

Parking: Free on-site parking is available, but space is limited, and the parking structure can fill quickly, so volunteers are encouraged to arrive early. Carpooling or rideshare is recommended when possible.

Public Transportation: The East LA Civic Center Metro Station is located near the event site, making Metro a convenient option. ACCESS and rideshare drop-off/pick-up will also be available near E. 3rd Street and Civic Center Way
