    Description

The Cat Academy is looking for one additional board member. We only ask that you have the ability and passion to commit to our organization. Your commitment will be flexible as we ask that you provide whatever time you are comfortable, but within reason.

The main responsibilities of a board member are fiduciary duties of care, loyalty, and good faith. Essentially, the board member must act for the the organization, promote its mission, and not hinder the organization's goals. They are responsible for all major financial and legal decisions. In other words, board members are like supervisors that make sure the organization is operating the way it should.

The above responsibilities are accomplished by holding at least one annual meeting, and other meetings as required to address concerns as they arise, such as budgeting, spending, hiring/firing, and partnering with outside advisors.

If you are interested please do not hesitate to reach out! Also, please feel free to ask any questions. If you believe you may be of benefit in another role, please also inquire.

Have a great day and take care!
