Commitment: Approximately 4–8 hours per month (may vary based on committee assignments and organizational needs)
Term Length: Three-year renewable term (recommended)
About the Organization
Pure Aid Incorporated (PAI) is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing programs and services that strengthen communities through initiatives in health, education, youth development, community engagement, social support services, capacity building, and sustainable development.
We are seeking passionate, ethical, and community-focused individuals to join our Board of Directors and help guide the organization’s strategic direction, governance, and long-term impact.
Position Summary
Volunteer Board Members serve as ambassadors, advisors, and governance leaders who help ensure the organization fulfills its mission, remains financially responsible, and operates with integrity and accountability.
Board members work collaboratively with fellow directors and executive leadership to provide oversight, strategic guidance, policy direction, and organizational support.
Key Responsibilities
Governance and Oversight
- Participate in establishing organizational vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
- Assist in reviewing and approving policies, procedures, and governance documents.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
- Support risk management and organizational accountability practices.
- Participate in board evaluations and organizational assessments.
Strategic Leadership
- Contribute to strategic planning and long-term organizational growth.
- Review program effectiveness and organizational outcomes.
- Provide recommendations for sustainability and expansion initiatives.
- Support innovation and continuous improvement efforts.
Financial Stewardship
- Review budgets, financial reports, and organizational performance.
- Assist with fundraising initiatives and resource development efforts.
- Promote financial transparency and accountability.
- Support grant opportunities and donor engagement where applicable.
Advocacy and Representation
- Serve as an ambassador for the organization.
- Promote awareness of programs and services.
- Build partnerships with stakeholders, businesses, community leaders, and supporters.
- Assist with networking and outreach efforts.
Board Participation
- Attend scheduled board meetings and committee meetings.
- Participate actively in discussions and decision-making.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold board ethics standards.
Desired Qualifications

- Leadership experience in nonprofit, healthcare, education, business, public administration, finance, law, technology, human services, marketing, fundraising, or related fields.

- Ability to dedicate time to board activities.
Experience in any of the following areas is highly desirable:
- Nonprofit governance
- Healthcare administration
- Residential services

- Information technology
- Fundraising and donor relations
- International development
- Program management
Expectations of Board Members
Board members are expected to:
- Attend at least 75–80% of scheduled meetings.
- Participate in committees or task groups.
- Support fundraising and organizational growth activities.
- Avoid conflicts of interest.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Adhere to board policies and code of ethics.
