Volunteer Opportunity: Grant Writer for Bright Leaf Seniors
Details
Description
Bright Leaf Seniors is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Grant Writer to help us locate, prepare, and submit grant and funding applications that support our mission. We are a Colorado‑based 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing FREE home repairs, safety modifications, and food assistance to low‑income and disabled seniors and veterans across the state.
About the Role
We are looking for someone who can:
- Research local, state, federal, and foundation grant opportunities
- Draft and prepare grant proposals
- Assist with letters of inquiry, reporting requirements, and application submissions
- Help us expand funding so we can reach more seniors and veterans in need
Ideal Volunteer
You don’t need to be an expert—just someone who is:
- Organized and detail‑oriented
- Comfortable writing and researching
- Passionate about helping seniors age safely in their homes
- Able to commit a few hours per week (flexible schedule)
Why Your Help Matters
Due to recent federal budget cuts, our organization is working hard to secure new funding sources. Your support directly helps seniors and veterans stay safe, independent, and cared for in their own homes.
If you’re interested in using your writing skills to make a real impact, we’d love to have you on our team.
