Volunteer Yoga Instructor – Young Yogis
Project S.A.V.E is seeking volunteer yoga instructors to support Young Yogis, a youth wellness program serving children ages 6–13 in under-resourced communities. Volunteer instructors will lead age-appropriate yoga, breathing, mindfulness, movement, and relaxation activities designed to help children develop healthy coping skills, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and positive wellness practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead engaging, trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness sessions for children ages 6–13.
- Adapt activities to participants’ developmental levels and abilities.
- Teach breathing, stretching, movement, and relaxation techniques.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment.
- Reinforce healthy coping and stress-management strategies.
- Communicate with Project S.A.V.E staff regarding participant engagement and program needs.
- Follow organizational policies related to safety, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and working with youth.
This is a volunteer position. Yoga instructors should have appropriate yoga training/certification and experience working with children is preferred.
