Description
The League of Women Voters of San Francisco is a nonpartisan political nonprofit that encourages informed and active participation in government.
We are currently looking for Youth Council Mentors to help advise our youth! We have a thriving Youth Council, and we would like to integrate it into volunteer opportunities within our larger organization, to provide opportunities to grow as leaders and develop their professional skills in areas such as community organizing, project management, communications, and public speaking.
Helpful skills a suitable volunteer might have include:
- Experience working with youth, especially in a tutoring, coaching, counselling, or other leadership development capacity
- Project management, to coordinate youth participation in ongoing projects
- Interest in any of: community organizing, communications, or public speaking
Please note that this position will require a background check.
