Description
Do you enjoy sports, teamwork, and being part of exciting competition environments? Special Olympics North Carolinais looking for energetic and dependable volunteers to serve as Competition Assistants – Athletics for the 2026 Summer Games!
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with the coordination and operation of athletics competitions during the Summer Games
- Help set up and maintain competition areas, equipment, and athlete staging locations
- Support event officials and SONC staff with race flow, field events, and athlete organization
- Escort athletes to competition areas and help ensure events stay on schedule
- Assist with recording results, distributing information, and communicating updates as needed
- Encourage athletes and help create a fun, positive, and competitive environment for everyone involved
Time Commitment:
- Event weekend: May 29 – May 31, 2026
