Description
Volunteer to Empower Girls Through Reusable Sanitary Pad Production
Join Amazing Grace Widows and Orphans Tanzania (AGWOT) in helping girls stay healthy, confident, and in school by supporting our reusable sanitary pad initiative. Many girls in rural Tanzania miss school every month because they cannot afford menstrual hygiene products. Through this program, volunteers will help produce reusable sanitary pads, provide menstrual health education, and promote dignity and confidence for vulnerable girls.
Volunteers may assist with sewing and assembling reusable sanitary pads, training women and girls in pad production, supporting quality control, developing educational materials, fundraising for fabrics and sewing equipment, and raising awareness about menstrual health and period poverty. Volunteers with skills in tailoring, health education, project management, communications, fundraising, or social media are especially welcome, but anyone with a passion for empowering girls can make a meaningful contribution.
By volunteering with AGWOT, you will help improve girls' access to education, reduce school absenteeism, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for widows who produce reusable sanitary pads. Together, we can protect girls' dignity, promote gender equality, and build healthier, stronger communities across Tanzania.
