As a third-party candidate, Nico received over 200,000 votes in 2022 and his campaign is gaining rapidly traction. This is a candidacy that appeals to Communists, Socialists, Progressives, Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians and Independents for housing is a human right and it is under attack in Illinois.
This opportunity is for volunteers who would like to gain hands-on electoral experience by participating in a dynamic, advocasy-based campaign with a third-party, underdog candidate. This is an activist campaign which aims to inform and educate the electorate on the arbitrariness and the devastating effects of the present property tax system and propose remedies and solutions. Nico's 2022 campaign talking points about limiting property taxes to 1% of the purchase price and capping increases, are now rapidly gaining traction within the broader electorate. There was never a better time to join a campaign that consistently advocates for the poor and middle class and especially black and latino households who are the biggest victims of the present property tax system.. The campaign accepts no individual or corporate donations whatsoever and has no PACs or Super PACs funding it. This is going to be a two or three-person race. Election day is November 3, 2026.
